In vi do

:1,$d

to delete all lines.

The : introduces a command (and moves the cursor to the bottom).
The 1,$ is an indication of which lines the following command (d) should work on. In this case the range from line one to the last line (indicated by $, so you don't need to know the number of lines in the document).
The final d stands for delete the indicated lines.

There is a shorter form (:%d) but I find myself never using it. The :1,$d can be more easily "adapted" to e.g. :4,$-2d leaving only the first 3 and last 2 lines, deleting the rest.

1. Install needed packages (mod_dav_svn and subversion)


yum install mod_dav_svn subversion


2. Modify Subversion config file /etc/httpd/conf.d/subversion.conf

LoadModule dav_svn_module     modules/mod_dav_svn.so

LoadModule authz_svn_module   modules/mod_authz_svn.so

 

<Location /svn>

   DAV svn

   SVNParentPath /var/www/svn

   AuthType Basic

   AuthName "Subversion repositories"

   AuthUserFile /etc/svn-auth-users

   Require valid-user

3. Add SVN (Subversion) users

Use following command:

htpasswd -cm /etc/svn-auth-users testuser

New password:

4. Create and configure SVN repository

mkdir /var/www/svn

cd /var/www/svn

 

svnadmin create testrepo

chown -R apache.apache testrepo

7. Configure repository

To disable anonymous access and enable access control add following rows to testrepo/conf/svnserve.conf file:

## Enable access control ##

authz-db = authz



8. Create trunk, branches and tags structure under testrepo

Create “template” directories with following command:

mkdir -p /tmp/svn-structure-template/{trunk,branches,tags}


9.Then import template to project repository using “svn import” command:

svn import -m 'Initial import' /tmp/svn-structure-template/ http://localhost/svn/testrepo/

Adding         /tmp/svn-structure-template/trunk

Adding         /tmp/svn-structure-template/branches

Adding         /tmp/svn-structure-template/tags

10. Check results on browser and see testrepo revision 1:

3. Installing the NX Client

You can install either opennx or nxclient from NoMachine.

3.1. Installation of opennx

Note: If you have already installed NoMachine's nxclient, you need to uninstall it before installing opennx. Existing setup for the clients should become available to opennx.

Opennx is available for CentOS-6 from the centos-extras repository. To install it, issue this command on the client machine:

[root@client ~]# yum install opennx


  • Open the NX Connection Wizard. Enter a Session name, a hostname (or ip address), a Port number and select your Type of Internet Connection and select Next.


  • Select the connection type, the desktop system you want to use, and the size of the desktop. Select Next when finished.


  • In the next dialog window, make sure "Enable SSL encryption of all traffic" is checked and then select Next.


  • Choose if you want to Create shortcut on desktop and then Select Show the Advanced Configuration dialog box and then select Finish.


  • In the advanced dialog window under the General Tab, you should see the items you have already entered and a Key...button. You will need to ssh into the server which you are trying to connect and go to the /etc/nxserver/ directory and open the file client.id_dsa.key (you must be the root user to open this file). Copy all the text (including the BEGIN DSA PRIVATE KEY and END DSA PRIVATE KEY lines. Press the Key... button, delete the text that is in there, and paste theclient.id_dsa.key information from the server into the Key Management text box, then select Save. You will be back in the Session properties dialog box. Select OK and you are all set.

 


  • You should now be able to connect to the Server machine and open your desktop from the client.

Open port 80

Open flle /etc/sysconfig/iptables:
# vi /etc/sysconfig/iptables
Append rule as follows:
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 80 -j ACCEPT
Save and close the file. Restart iptables:
# /etc/init.d/iptables restart

Open port 110

Append rule as follows:
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 110 -j ACCEPT

Open port 143

Append rule as follows:
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 143 -j ACCEPT

Restart iptables service

Type the following command:
# service iptables restart

Verify that port is open

Run following command:
netstat -tulpn | less
Make sure iptables is allowing port 80 / 110 / 143 connections:
iptables -L -n
